Work
I began my 35-year career as a founding member of a hospitality company based in Michigan. I advanced from managing a small cafeteria to overseeing 15 accounts that include multiple locations and new construction. My experience includes writing HR manuals, implementing policies and procedures, and being on committees that have helped shape the growth and direction of the company.
I explored managing and working in the manufacturing field, but found that my passion and interest have led me back to food service, and the people who have a passion for hospitality.
Life
I grew up on a farm and have a love for animals. I am happily married to my husband Tim; we will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in September. We have two college-aged sons, one who will be completing his bachelor’s in chemical engineering at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology this year, and the other is working on his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, with the goal of becoming a dermatologist.
Summer is my favorite time of the year. Much of my free time is spent outside by our pool, boating, walking our local nature center with our dog, and traveling.
