Adam Vanore: Evaluator, CrossCheck QA
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Delaware, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to continue my education in graduate school. I conducted agricultural and food safety research under a USDA-funded grant and earned a Master of Science in Food Science with a focus in microbiological food safety. After defending my thesis, I began working for Compass Group as a Quality Assurance and Safety Manager in Bethesda, MD where I supported regional foodservice operations in achieving their quality standards. I joined the IHS team in 2019 and am looking forward to continuing to learn and apply my skills as a CrossCheck Evaluator. In 2020, I will be working with the Delaware Restaurant Association as a ServSafe Instructor and Proctor.
I grew up in beautiful Toms River, NJ with my two parents, older brother, and grandmother. After completing my education in Delaware and beginning my career in Maryland, I am happy to be settling in Philadelphia, close to friends and family. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, trying out new recipes, seeing a movie in theaters, and catching comedy shows. I also have a great love of baseball and hope to one day visit every MLB stadium.
